hair fun!

yesterday I re-bleached and toned my hair. did a decent job, a couple spots I could've left the bleach on longer, but it's tough to do when you do it yourself.

Then, today I got to go downtown Milwaukee and went to the swanky salon called Erik of Norway. I went there because that's where Chris Luccas works and today I got to hair model for him for a hair cut. he did a great job!! he can totally be my Wisco salon go to guy. I felt bad he had to deal with my snarly curly hair, but hey he's gotta learn sometime right? hehe

then I went a few blocks down to visit Cara at work. She works at a fun store called Hot*Pop. it's kid robotish. We got to hang on her lunch break, that was fun. A guy in one of the shops told us we were cute and we made him feel "vanilla." so funny.

Tomorrow Sunday we are going out to Mayfair for a Sephora run (woo woo) and then go see the Jonas Bros 3D Experience. so stoked. I hope it's not too crowded with Jombies. I know it's a weekend Saturday, and probably the worst day to go, but oh well!

oh, and I re-signed up for Twitter. not sure why, cuz I hated it, but I'll try it again.

I want a platinum blonde life

I'm in serious cleaning mode, so I can't distract myself with the internet too long, but I just wanted to profess my love for the cleaner called SPOT SHOT.
It blows my mind everytime I use it. It's a carpet cleaner so mostly I just use it to clean up cat barf, but today I tried it on some shoes. I have a super old pair of rad Sauconys that are yellow and orange. Unfortunately over the years they've acquired many stains that never really tried to get out. Today I used SPOT SHOT on them and whammo!! they look perfect again within seconds. I wish I could explain how fast and awesome this stuff works. If I find something else that needs to be de-stained, I'll make sure and take pictures.
I don't know why I felt the need to blog that, but I did. That stuff rules.

in another realm, I might bleach my hair tonight. I bought some bleach last night and I already have some toner and developer, so I'm set. I just wish I had someone to help me with it. I can't wait to be my perfect platinum again.

Some of my favorite people ever ever ever put out a new record today!!!

The Sleeping has a new record called What it Takes.

I met these silly/awesome dudes back in 2004 when I did that tour with Taking Back Sunday and we've been friends ever since. If you get a chance go see em live, do it, they're great. 

Then go find them after the show and tell them I love them, cuz I can't tell them enough.

Normally I'm not into the screamy crazy music, but they've gone on more of a rock route. Still there's some screaming, but that's them. Now they have a keyboard player and sort of newish sound, It's really good and rockin'. Unfortch I don't have an amazing deal for ya, but 10 bones is still cheap for a cd anyways. (I'm currently way into the song called "Shallow Lungs") lookie I even made a little song previewer for you to check it out!

she-beast

this is Bonnie. She is a She-Beast and I am at war with her.

She makes a point every morning at 6am on the dot to jump on me and meow until I get up and feed her. She's really hindering my ability to get 7-8 straight hours of sleep.

She sleeps all day then meows at me from midnight til when ever i give in and feed her even though she doesn't need food... and then again at 6am.

So today I decided to make a point to wake her up as many times as possible throughout the day to see how she liked it.

unfortunately I don't think it's phased her at all.

dang it.

she's actually meowing at me right now.

on another note. this week I had 2 different people tell me that I should learn to play bass. So I took it as a sign that I should give it a whirl. After much deliberation of what I should get to play, Matt helped me out a lot and I ended up getting this 

Fender Squier P Bass off ebay for $80. and shipping was $40, so I think I did some pretty good bargain shopping. Now Poop Cookie(Chris) said he'd teach me how to play while I'm home! and Matt said once we start touring again that he would give me lessons too! So I'm excited and hope I don't suck!

I'd actually be shocked if you said no.

I decided to google image search my name tonight and see what turned up. I was surprised at how facebook is all about sharing my pictures with the world, but it's weird too, because some of the pics that turned up were just my friends. whatevs, I got bored of that quickly. So I checked to see what web sites turned up when I googled my name. 

boy oh boy have I made a footprint in the internet! I feel bad for not keeping up on my blog now that I know there are a lot of people linked to me! I had no idea.

ya'll need to comment and let me know you're there, I usually just think I'm talking to myself... and jessica :) cuz I know she always reads my blogs. I'd link everyone to you're blog jessica, but somehow when ever I try and make links they don't work, so i give up.

I'm sorry about not blogging. My life has been rather monotonous and boring for the most part. my typical day is...

wake up

check email and facebook

play some scrabble or word twist on facebook (usually with Bruce or Diaz or my mom)

brush teeth

eat b-fast

putz around (this is when I either work on an art project, do some cleaning or play more scrabble)

eat lunch 

go get the mail and play with gunner

work out

eat dinner

watch some tv

what else has been going on, hmm...

I've succesfully through my Netflix watched every episode of the Sopranos (what a sucky ending!)

I've been oil pulling! I'll explain more on that later.

I found out my brother and sister in law are preggo

Somehow I've made new friends (all with beards) in the rare occasions when I've left the house.

I'm getting freakin buff!

I'm extremely poor and can't wait til I get my tax refund (friggin get back on tour already MCS)

ohh and Tony broke his arm, so touring is put off at least another 2 months with them.

I can't think of anything else noteworthy now.

last week I went to Chicago to hang out with my friends in The Sleeping and Funeral For a Friend. I had soooo much fun. A lot of friends that I didn't know were gunna be there showed up, and it was all around super great hangs. So many of my favorite funny people in one place.

I made the mistake tonight and tried dying my roots with a box dye (smacks myself on wrist) stupid mistake. I've done it before too, and I KNOW that for the results I want I have to bleach and tone.  so yeah, now my roots are golden and my hair is kinda fried. total lame sauce.

some days I think about shaving my head again, cuz it's soo easy and feels cool. However, I think I look better with longer hair, and plus it gives me more styling options.

So on a different note, as of now I have a tour from april to mid may. I don't want to talk much about it, because in case things fall through, I don't want to be extra bummed. I really don't think things will fall through, but touring jobs are so last minute and things can change very quickly. So here's to everything staying on track, because it will be flippin FUN!

Also if MCS still isn't touring by summer, Big D said I can go out on warped tour with them, which would be mega fun, and since several of those boys p90x, we can all work out together.

awesome.

I'm seriously in love with working out. I was shaving my legs today and noticed how awesome my calves look! I've always had super skinny chicken legs, so I'm mad happy about them being bigger and muscle-y. It really is amazing how good working out makes you feel afterwards.  I like to think that now I'll even look more intimidating at the merch table.

if you have thought that, please tell me why!! I'd love to know! I try and be nice to everyone, I know there have been a few instances where things have gotten insane at the table and I may flip out, but they're usually due to good reason (IE a theft, a jerk customer, bad security, bad day, etc.) 

Another thing is that a lot of people think I don't remember them, but I 90% time do if they took the time to talk to me (I know sometimes that's not possible.)  I have a great memory of faces and places, but names I'm a little lackluster with. Usually it takes me 2-3 times to remember a name. 

I like people, so I hope they like me back.

changing subject again, I'm stoked that spring is slowly getting closer and the sun is slowly staying up longer. This winter has breezed by so far, and no seasonal depression has hit at all! I've actually been extremely happy, and again I thank it all to working out and eating healthy.

I really should be sleeping now. I have to take my parents to the airport in 4 hours. They're leaving for San Antonio, TX. That's where the VA Hospital is, that is doing the stem cell transplant on my dad for his cancer. They're going to be down there for 6-9 weeks, so it's my job to house/pet sit. It's going to be awful lonely here for 2 months, so who's gunna come visit!? :)

also after I drop them off way early, I have to go pick up my little cousin, cuz I'm going to babysit him for the day. I'm not a fan of babysitting, but at least he's older and easier to take care of. Maybe we can make some sweet art projects tomorrow, who knows!
